Coach Dangle

Dangle Martin is an outstanding young man who is a great example of how leading is really all about serving. Dangle recently graduated from Iowa State University, with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with an emphasis on Water and Land Management!

Despite dealing with the destruction caused by multiple Hurricanes since he’s been away in college, and now new challenges presented by Covid-19, Dangle has stayed focus on his goal to one day go back to his birthplace of Grand Bahama Island where looks to take his skills and expertise and give back to his community.

We are thrilled to have Coach Martin share his passion for learning with our advanced level students as a Virtual Chess Coach!

“I remember being introduced to the game of chess in elementary school by my computer teacher, Dr. Ware. Later that night I went home and challenged my grandfather to a game. Fortunately, I lost and yearned to one day defeat him. What amazes me about Chess is how I am able to connect with seemingly strangers from around the world that share a similar passion.”
