Upcoming NYC Trip

Our Chess Club is taking in our first Chess Exploration Trip since Covid-19. We will be traveling to NYC to compete in the Tri-State Chess Championships in Bryant Park on August 20th.

In New York, our "Stormers" will visit the Statue of Liberty, Colombia University, receive a guided tour at the MET explore the Big Apple, and return as chess champions.

OUR NBC CHICAGO FEATURE

Our team is headed to New York City and we’re taking 32 stormers to compete at Bryant Park on August 20th, 2023. While the focus is the chess tournament, it’s about the life experience.It’s about taking these young people on life journey, that is new for them, through the lens of chess.

Out of State Trips

From 2016 - 2019 our Bahamas players from a tiny island traveled to not only compete, but win in chess tournaments internationally.

These young players have explored Winston Salem, North Carolina, New York City, Chicago, IL and most recently in the summer of 2019 the Bay Area!
